Toddler mistakes gun for Wii controller
I'm not sure what the more important lesson to be learnt here is - that letting kids play with toy guns really is a bad idea, or don't leave your loaded gun on the coffee table while your three year old is wandering around.

So sad, but I couldn't help but notice the article went as far to say the girl wasn't just from Tennessee, but from RURAL Tennessee. This is odd because when I think of rural Tennessee, I think of homes without electricity or indoor plumbing, hence they wouldn't have a Wii. Even though something like this could happen anywhere, I'll still add it as another reason I detest The South.
It is sad. Coming from somewhere where you aren't allowed to own a gun solely for self defence purposes, I guess it's hard for me to imagine why people would just want to have these things lying around like that. They seem like more trouble than they're worth.
I'm not particularly familiar with Tennessee, but another article I read said that it happened in a town called 'Norene'. Is that the sort of area that counts as rural?
I'm guessing Norene must be somewhere between Bucksnort and Holenwald (known to the locals as "Hole-in-Wall"). These are places where a dog can lay in the middle of Main Street all day without getting ran-over by a car... but don't tease the dog because he belongs to... someone.
